The song that just wouldn't go away in 2011/2012 seems to have finally started being forgotten. I think this is the most overrated song of all time, and I swear to god if I have to hear the term 'Party Rocking' one more time, someones gonna get hurt.
The song that started it all. While it is a little catchy and the better of all their songs it is still not a good song to hear millions of times and is still average. Also the worst thing about it is that it started this whole LMFAO thing

Das dieser Song erfolgreich wurde, werde ich wohl nie verstehen. Naja, im September 2012 gab das Duo ihre Auflösung bekannt. Ich (und wahrscheinlich andere auch) sind überaus froh darüber.
Als der Song vor einem Jahr auf Heavy Rotation lief, hätte ich am liebsten Radio und Glotze aus dem Fenster geschmissen. Mittlerweile kann ich die Nummer wieder hören. Tja, die zwei Doofies sind wohl mein neues "Guilty Pleasure" ;-)
Still #22 on the Oz charts with a 41-week run thus far... has gone 9xPlatinum (over 630000 copies sold) and I reckon it will break the 10xPlatinum mark in the next couple of weeks, which means over 700000 copies sold in this country alone.
And yes, people are correct in saying that this is the 2nd biggest selling single in Australia of all time (and in fact, the biggest in the download era).
Looking back, its not such a bad #1.. though it was incredibly over exposed and while its an alright song, it most deffinately has not deserved the success it has obtained - one of the highest selling singles in AUS of all time now, it might be only 2nd behind candle in the wind? I dunno.

In den USA müsste man diese Truppe für die Verwendung dieses Titels verklagen. Das und Rock Anthem? - Geht ja gar nicht. Man kann ja zu vielem "rocken", aber nicht zu dem hier. Fail Nr. 2: Mein alter HP-Scanner aus dem Jahr 1997. Anscheinend hat dieses Gerät nun einen neuen Verwendungszweck gefunden. Es gibt Teile im Song, in dem die Scangeräusche meines alten HP-Scanners eindeutig zu hören sind. Sobald HP darauf kommt, werden sie ebenfalls eine Klage einreichen, weil man ihnen keine Tantièmen aus dem Erlös dieses S-Drecks gezahlt hat. Fail Nr. 3: Es handelt sich bei Fail Nr. 2 gar nicht um meinen alten Scanner, sondern um den wohl billigsten Sound, der nicht einmal mit einem echten Hardware-Synthesizer erstellt wurde. Vermutlich wussten die Erfinder nicht einmal, was sie da für einen nervigen Sound hingezaubert haben.
I can't believe some autotune shit made it to number 1 for 10 weeks. I feel sorry for the the real ROCK artists who made better ROCK anthems in recent years and never saw the day of light on the charts. A real ROCK anthem is, for example, the 1975 KISS song "ROCK and roll all nite" is what I call a ROCK anthem. This is just a poor insult to ROCK that teenagers are addicted to these days. So when there is another fake ROCK anthem 2day FM radio tells you to buy, don't buy it! IT IS BAD FOR YOUR EARS AND BRAIN!
schon schlimmeres gehört. Die Beats sind dem Trend entsprechend sehr billig, der Rap stark ausbaufähig, aber der Refrain, der eigentlich auch nix besonderes ist, dafür so eingängig, dass ich mich sogar zu ner 3 hinreißen lasse.
In theory I should hate this song with a passion. But strange'y it doen't annoy me and in fact I found myself singing along and tapping my foot whenever it is on. It's just a pity that it hung around forever in the Top 20 in Australia that it is testing my patience with WHY it has been and continued to be massive. Will go down as a song that needs to be played at weddings.
Amazing song. Easy to hate it because it was/is massively overplayed, spent ten weeks at #1 and somehow became the second highest selling song in Australian history... but I still love it.
I've had many amazing nights on the dancefloor at parties with this song, it has a great memorable music video, started a dance craze bringing the Melbourne shuffle to international recognition and is just well... good-damn, harmless fun!
Auch das ein Song, der öfters mal in den Ferien am Radio lief - war ja auch eine Nr. 1 dort. Finde ich aber dennoch chartsmässig deutlich überschätzt. Netter Refrain, den Rest kann man sich schenken.

Annehmbarer Clubtrack, der sich allmählich zum Superhit entwickelt. Bisher der größte Erfolg von LMFAO, nachdem sie schon mit David Guetta mit "Gettin over you" einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterließen. Gute 3.
The shuffling bits are a little annoying, but the song isn't all that bad. Definitely not worthy of #1, let alone for multiple weeks. I'll probably never like an LMFAO song more than I do this (and that isn't saying much), so wish they'd just retire already!
Tut mir aufrichtig leid für deinen Arsch. Ich finds weder lustig, noch peinlich, noch sonst irgendwas. Der Song ist einfach da, verwendet die momentane Trend-Synthmelodie, die in jedem zweiten Clubhit vorkommt, erregt Aufmerksamkeit mit einem wilden Videoclip und wird sicher den einen oder anderen Floor fillen. Eine Party Hymne wird das auf jeden Fall da bin ich mir schon jetzt sicher aber für mich reicht es für eine Knappe 4 es ist schon ein bisschen besser als der restliche Einheitsbrei aus diesem Musikbereich.
I do not get why this song is doing so well. I don't think it to be anything special at all, and how it can crank up so many weeks at #1 is beyond me. Top ten sure, but not #1.

'N aanstekelijk lied ;d Ik hoor liever het lied liever op radio dan op tv. Want, ik vindt persoonlijk de videoclip storend met het gepraat. Wel zeer goed party nummer! ;d
Het idee achter de clip dat een liedje zich als een besmetting door de populatie verspreidt is heel leuk, maar zorg dan ook voor een zeer aanstekelijk liedje. Dit nummer is veel te saai en oppervlakkig met een overdosis standaard computer- c.q. synthesizersoundjes. Dat had veel beter gekund! Bij deze clip hoor ik in gedachten "No Speak Americano" van vorig jaar; dat was met recht een nummer dat je de hele zomer meesleurde en zelfs velen buiten de standaard doelgroep.
Die schrägen LMFAO ("Laughing my fucking ass off") aus L.A. haben nebst der Hip-Hop-Vergangenheit auch ein eigenes Modelabel namens Party Rock Life. Dies ist die Hymne dazu. Der Song selber ist maximal Durchschnitt, wird aber in den Clubs sowas von gehypt, dass in GB der Song seit 4 Wochen auf Platz 1 steht. Wesentlich trägt der Shuffle Dance dazu bei, der wie neu belebt wird und im Video ziemlich geil rüberkommt.
Das ist das Schlechteste, das bisher dieses Jahr rausgekommen oder zumindest das Schlechteste, das dieses Jahr rausgekommen ist und ich auch kenne. Eine wirre Komposition, schlechte Instrumentalisierung und dann sind die Sänger noch dermassen lächerlich. Diese "Meisterleistung" dürfte wirklich nur schwer zu übertreffen sein...

Nein, auch als Freund elektronischer Musik kann ich das nicht gut finden. Die gerappten Teile wirken total billig, ja grottig. Der Refrain ist besser, was noch knapp 2* einbringt.
nou ik moet er nog even aan wennen denk ik. Hoor er wel wat in, maar het klinkt allemaal een beetje chaotisch. Misschien is dat ook wel de bedoeling, maar dat maakt wel dat ik nog niet volledig overtuigd ben. Toch voordeel van de twijfel dan maar! krappe 4 sterren.
Muss den Review zum Song neu verfassen. Der Song hat sich ziemlich zur Partybombe der Saison entwickelt. Anfang wirkte es überladen auf mich aber jetzt geht das Teil cool ab.
Ist ein scharfes Electro-Pop-Mainstreamwerk, wie ich finde. Damit lässt sich ne Fete auf Hochtouren bringen.

Completely expletively hate LMFAO/LFMAO/LMFOA etc, but this song is pretty good. If you removed those shuffling bits, then it would be 5 stars. Wish it wasn't an LMFAO song.
Also part (insert number) of the Heaven/3x/I'm Not Alone/Eyes Wide Shut etc series.
Pop Music just keeps getting dumber and dumber. Its incredible how dumb music is these days. Its disgraceful that this will go #1. It doesnt let me think. It works against my mind rather than with it. I hate it so much.

I don't hate it as much as I did when it was lodged at #1 around the world. The song is surprisingly catchy and, when drunk, it is hard not to sing a long to the incredibly simplistic chorus while trying to 'shuffle'.
However the success that this has had is absolutely crazy. It actually scares me. I just hope this phase and this band die quickly so that we are not subjected to more of this crap.

It's a weird scenario here. I can't commend it on any objective matter of quality, as it's still a bunch of random parts of other LMFAO songs shoved together to form their first coherent song. In theory it's a terrible mess, but the squeaky beat never stops being infectiously catchy and has long outlived the main chorus which grew tired for me long ago.
