I've never thought well about this song when it comes to mind. It's mostly due to the chorus I think, and I didn't really care much for the fact that it was a #1 hit. Having watched the charts first hand as they develop for a few years now though, I've realised that chart moments like this are rare and I've grown to appreciate them as they happen. I think my favourite part of this song is the intro with the little welcoming bluesy riff. Along with that I think the drum queues are spot on, and recently I've grown to enjoy Levine's vocals moreso, and I like the way that they seem to match the timing of the instrumentation. I'd be remiss not to mention the cool bridge which leads into the finish very well. It's just a solid track all together that I've only recently managed to enjoy but I'm glad that I made the effort to.

One of the best songs of all time. I first heard the song performed on Australian Idol, just before it became a single, and immediately had to own it. Bought the album the next day, and this was the best song by a long way. I loved the whole album, but this is a clear cut winner.
This was my favourite first time i heard album and knew if released as single would be massive. Which it was. 2nd UK top 10. 17 weeks in the UK top 100. UK#4 and Ireland#3. US#5. 122,400 copies sold in the UK.

Eigentlich gibt es nur 2 Songs, die mir von dieser Truppe gefallen, das ist der eine, der andere heißt "Harder To Breathe". Der Rest hat regelmäßige, nervtötende Anleihen, z. B. "This Love".
▒ Inderdaad een schitterende ballad uit eind juni 2002 van "Maroon 5", afkomstig van hun album "Songs About Jane" !!! Van half augustus t/m half november 2004 was de plaat in de Nederlandse hitlijsten vertegenwoordeigd !!! Nog net 6 sterren !!! (NL Top 40: 13 wk / # 6) ☺!!!
hhmm also bestimmt nervte es mich nicht so stark wie "this love" (dieser pegel war nämlich so dermassen schnell überschritten). das ganze war schon zu gewollt, zum teil sogar fast abgekartet. aber ja jetzt habichs, in diesem fall wurde ich einfach zum opfer, ich fands nämlich noch easy...
Ein Song der zuerst so gar nicht nach meinem Geschmack war, doch er lief öfters in einer Bar, die ich mag und der hervorragende, stylishe, attraktive Videoclip mit dem Motiv Frau in den Wechseljahren verführt den Freund der Tochter - lucky guy -, (mit John Travoltas Frau Kelly Preston als Mutter), was dann aber zu einer nicht so erfreulichen Dreiecksgeschichte führt, hat mich an den Song rangeführt. (Am Schluss des Clips: Those Eyes…) Das ganze hat dann seinen ganz eigenen Reiz bekommen, obwohl mich am Song immer noch eine Menge stört, vor allem die Vorgängersingle war ein ganz anderes Kaliber = viel mehr Power, nicht so melancholisch. Yeah, I know, the girl with the broken smile needs love. --- #5 in den USA, #1 in Australien, 3 Wochen #2 in Europa (Topposition verhindert durch Anastacia und Natasha Bedingfield): #4 in UK, #3 in Irland, in Schweden nicht gechartet, #25 in Deutschland, #6 in NL, #27 in Flandern, #23 in Frankreich, #1 in Luxemburg, #3 in Italien #5 in Finnland, #3 in Tschechien, #1 in der Slowakei, #3 in Litauen.
Wer hätte gedacht, dass nach "This Love" noch was besseres kommt? Eine Hammer-Ballade im unverwechselbaren Maroon-Groove. Die Stimme wurde noch durch den Vocoder gedreht, aber so dezent, dass man es zunächst gar nicht bemerkt...
Gefällt mir besser als "This Love" - allerdings wird die Band dermassen gepusht - im Radio besonders - das es schon etwas nervt. Das Ding dudelt viel zu oft und verliert darum viel von seinem Charme.
Nach "This Love" schon der zweite Top-Hit von Maroon 5. Auch ich finde die Single hervorragend. "She will be Loved" wird zurzeit häufig auf "DRS 3" gespielt und ist ein Song, den man offensichtlich öfters hören muss; erst dann erkennen die meisten (so auch ich), wie toll er ist. Als ich ihn zum ersten Mal hörte, dachte ich, er sei klar schwächer als "This Love", was aber nicht so ist. Meines Erachtens sind beide Songs sehr gut.
Wow dä Song isch dä Hammer. Ha zerst dänkt mit This Love wär dä Höhepunkt erreicht, aber wo denn dä Song cho isch, hets mi grad us de Socke ghaue. Das sind eifach so geili Type, wo au no super geil Musig möchet.
Gefällt mir deutlich besser als "This Love", erinnert mich entfernt an "The Flame" von Cheap Trick, ohne je an dieses heranreichen zu können. Insgesamt einer der erfreulicheren Songs momentan.
