Der Überhit dieser Band, für mich lediglich gut. Netter Talkbox Effekt, aber irgendwas fehlt (vor allem wenn man es mit Let It Rock und Bad Name vergleicht)
One of the greatest rock songs/party songs/80's songs ever... and one of the greatest songs of all time. A chorus that you just wanna scream out at the top of your lungs.
Awesome, awesome song. I'd say it's underrated since it has a review average lower than the score I'm giving it, although that would imply that my opinion is the universally correct one and that anyone who disagrees is clearly wrong, and I don't think it's douchey at all to imply that that is obviously true. :P
Or maybe people have heard something and have an opinion on it. That is allowed. Don't be so condescending ALL THE TIME. Just because you're older, doesn't give you the right to lecture people. Nor does it make you a superior person, in fact, your utter disregard for other people and their opinions makes you rather inferior in my eyes.
In any case, I also disagree with the negative reviews, but people are entitled to their opinion without being attacked for it. Mine is:

Whoa. What's with the really bad reviews? This is one of the best songs of the 80's. Maybe the young'uns shouldn't review music they don't really know or have a reasonable chance of appreciating. It would be like me reviewing songs from the 60's.
Vielleicht ein Höhepunkt des Stadionrocks :) Eine, wenn nicht die beste Bon Jovi-Single, toll und treibend arrangiert und bei dem hymnenhaften Refrain muss man doch einfach Mitgröhlen! Sehr gute 5.

Edit: @savagegrant, who are you to say that? This gets flogged on radio so much that it's near impossible not to know it. I know and love plenty of songs from before I was born, simply because I've heard them now. Is it such a crime to hate a song? 2e single van het 3e album "Slippery when wet" uit december 1986. Hiermee brak Bon Jovi definitief door. Een absoluut geweldige rocker!!!! Met dit nummer begon ik Bon Jovi leuk te vinden
Great track! Their first Top 10 in Australia and very recognisable, even with the younger generations today. Always up there in the 80's video polls. 4*

Bin kein großer Fan der Truppe, doch dieser Song geht in Ordnung. Ganz netter 80iger Jahre Hardrock und wohl eine der Nummern die auf Ö3 und Co. erträglich zum hören sind.4 Points

Ein Knaller erster Güte, den Bon Jovi, die Altmeister der schnarchigen Rockballaden, nie wiederholen konnten ... Ich mag vor allem diesen verfremdeten "Ohuohuohou"-Hintergrund. Wie dieser Effekt wohl erzielt wurde ..?
Hymnischer Rock/Pop, der besonders im geilen Mitgröhlrefrain total abgeht. Sonst bin ich eigentlich kein großer Fan von ihnen. Vor allem Jon kommt auf mich sehr unsympathisch rüber!
dieses reinblaseteil was man im intro hört kenn ich aus keinem andere song, geil !! das video ist auch sehenswert und erinnert stark an das zu final countdown

DIE Rockhymne schlechthin, damals der Herr noch mit schlecht sitzender Haarspraykrause. Ich hatte den Song eine Zeitlang über, jetzt kann ich ihn wieder hören und habe ihn unabänderlich als topp akzeptiert. Besonders liebe ich die Bridge (siehe Lyricsauszug oben). Ein anderer Grund warum ich den Song so mag ist die schöne Melodie - natürlich Desmond Child!!!! #1 USA #4 UK #20 D Die Band wurde ja mit den Jahren leider immer schlechter - weg von Bombast hin zur Belanglosigkeit. Und mehrere neue Sachen hören sich sogar wie verzweifelte Selbstkopien der genialen 80er Songs an (It`s My Life). Rock Klassiker von Bon Jovi aus December 1986 !!! Stand 12 Wochen (Platz # 2) in die Holländische Top 40 von 1986 & 1987 !!! Gerade kein 6 Sterrn von mir !!! Aber sicher nicht slecht !!!

Meiner Meinung nach einer der 3 besten Jovi_songs überhaupt (neben Bad name und It`s my life) Rockt heute noch immer übel gut und die Geschichte im Lied is auch cool
Doch einer 5... aber es war nicht so gut wie das erste erfolg in NL "Youn Give Love a Bad Name"... Dieser 2ter Hit war in Januar 1987 am 2ter Stelle in NL.
Nun ja, finde das zusammen mit "It's my life" und "You give love a bad name" den stärksten Rocksong der Band, aber mir gefallen trotzdem einige ihre Balladen noch knapp besser. Nichtsdestotrotz ein grossartiger Rocker, ein echter Klassiker aus einer legendären CD.
