The delightfully upbeat music combined with the lyrical tale of heartbreak and woe made this an instant standout when I did hear it. The old school country flavour of this song really shines through with the instrumental work and it's absolutely charming. The lyrics tell the tale of love gone wrong, but it's pretty quickly framed as a good thing; better to be rid of the wrong person. Focusing on this keeps the track radiating a positive energy that's infectious, and this is helped by all the wordplay throughout with the cities and their acronyms being used cleverly to create memorable hooks. It doesn't need saying, but Reba's vocal is fantastic as ever. This is loads of fun. | |
